Positional Differences in the Most Demanding Scenarios of External Load Variables in Elite Futsal Matches

The aims of this study were to analyze the peak physical demands in elite futsal by quantifying most demanding scenarios match play and identify differences between playing positions (defenders, wingers, pivots) seasonal trend for five different rolling average time windows (30, 60, 120, 180, 300 s). external load from distance, speed, acceleration, deceleration variables obtained 14 players using a local positioning system during 15 official matches premier Spanish Futsal League (2018–2019 season). results showed an extremely large effect window all dependent positional groups. Another important finding was that, regard trend, only defenders reported clear moderate-large positive trends high-speed running (>18 km?h –1 ) efforts, high-acceleration high-deceleration efforts. Finally, individual player means games found, suggesting how likely contextual factors may exert influence on “demanding” are. findings provide coaches strength conditioning further knowledge competition. This valuable information lead more precise position-specific training prescription.
